SBS’s “The Fiery Priest 2” has unveiled new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!
A sequel to the hit 2019 drama about priest Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil) with anger management issues, “The Fiery Priest 2” follows his story as he takes on the boss role of an organization by night and heads to Busan to fight the top drug cartel in the country.
Previously, Park Kyung Sun (Lee Ha Nee) went undercover as a prosecutor at the Busan Southern District Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the link between Nam Du Heon (Seo Hyun Woo) and the drug cartel. After receiving a tip from Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil) that “those devils are more vulnerable to service than wealth,” she began plotting her next move, raising intrigue.
At her second day at work, Park Kyung Sun has a subtle yet intense standoff with Nam Du Heon. Park Kyung Sun shifts her strategy to become Nam Du Heon’s loyal servant. When responding to Nam Du Heon’s words, she confidently says, “That’s absolutely right!!” revealing her bold side as a determined junior. Nam Du Heon watches her closely, growing suspicious. The tension escalates when Park Kyung Sun shows a sudden burst of intensity while interrogating a drug suspect. Passing by, Nam Du Heon catches a glimpse through a door crack, leaving him stunned and even more intrigued. The question remains: will Park Kyung Sun’s plan be enough to break down Nam Du Heon’s stronghold?
Meanwhile, Lee Ha Nee and Seo Hyun Woo brought energy to the drama with their intense focus and chemistry in the secret operation scene. Before filming, they exchanged friendly words, setting a warm tone on set. But once the cameras rolled, they quickly transformed into their characters—Park Kyung Sun, radiating confidence, and Nam Du Heon, fully alert. Their strong performances heightened anticipation for the intense back-and-forth between the two.
The production team commented, “Lee Ha Nee and Seo Hyun Woo are natural-born actors who know how to enjoy the set.” They also teased, “Episodes 5 and 6 will focus on Park Kyung Sun and Nam Du Heon as their roles as hero and villain in the prosecutor’s office become more intertwined.”
The next episode of “The Fiery Priest 2” will air on November 22 at 10 p.m. KST.
